“The property is old quirky property , with ample parking to the rear. The staff were pleasant and helpful . The room was clean and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was a little chaotic on Sunday morning, it was busy and some of the tables weren’t set up ready for the guests, which I thought was a little unusual as I would have thought they would already have the total of guests staying for breakfast. Just that one glitch , the rest of our stay was most enjoyable.”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind.
