1. San Carlo

“Hotel Villa San Carlo was a disappointment. The hosts are exceedingly nice, but the hotel itself is in dire need of an update. Nothing has been done in 20 years. The beds are wildly uncomfortable, the bathrooms less functional from the shower cabins to the 20 year old hair dryers. Air conditioning works sometimes, WiFi is sketchy and the breakfast is severely lacking. Even for Italian standards. The same sad hard boiled eggs came from the fridge 3 days in a row.”

“The staff was nice and helpful, regardless of the fact that we don't speak any Italian and only a little English.
The location is perfect, easy to reach.
Parking in the closed courtyard in front of the room entrance.
Ideal transit hotel.
The room was basically clean, only the blanket had a musty smell and there were a lot of hairs on the floor of the room.
Gluten-free food was also available for breakfast”
