“I only had one dinner in the Greek restaurant but I felt the thickness of the pitta bread topped with chips before thin slithers of chicken just bulked the meal out and made you feel you were having something very unhealthy.
Due to no air con and high temperatures the room was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. There was a fan which helped to a degree. Could have been more generous with water, teas and milk although when I asked for more they immediately provided.

“Rooms are clean but dated, floors throughout are creaky. The shower took 10mins to get hot, such waste of water. I ordered starter and main course they came out together, the starter was nice and fresh, I think the main course was kept warm and not cooked fresh as I sent it back. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh so it takes time to arrive.”

“I am somewhat biased, as this is where my dog and I prefer to stay on our fairly frequent visits to this lovely part of our country - I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for their hospitality, their food, the excellent breakfasts, some proper beer on tap, comfortable rooms (I've tried three of the six to date, all very comfortable, each with it's own character).
I'd recommend their Wednesday wings and Sunday carvery in particular. I won't say more this time, as I suspect I'll have more to say next...

“I was not really happy with the room I was given.
I booked a normal room, but received a room for an impaired person. I was put in room 1.
The shower was a wet floor shower, which was not too bad, but the bed was terrible.
The mattress had collapsed and I ended up sleeping ( actually I didn't sleep) in a dip, ended up with body aches.”

“This property is absolutely unique, a 15th century building restored and updated in a charming way. The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom is luxurious! Thank you for the loveliest stay of our holiday.”
