Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession. “Overall a beautiful looking hotel with excellent grounds, the staff were extremely helpful l, the property is outdated and the rooms require TLC! Breakfast was very good, with options for omelettes and pancakes, we ordered the omelettes, which were decent. Overall we had a good stay. Great location, just off the motorway.”

“Family room - the room, beds and shower room all clean. Plenty of pillows with the option of firm and soft, duvet is a little small for the bed and the one on the sofa bed was also too small if 2 sharing, so you may need to request extra ones. Aircon is fab for the summer kept the room lovely and cool. Sofa bed is a tight squeeze for 2 children but bed has plenty room for 2 adults. Communal areas very clean and spacious although the dining area can get a little busy during the breakfast. As for...

“The room I had was at the top of the property and as such was a little warm but would have been unbearable if the weather had been hotter. The room was okay, rather dark until the morning when the sun made it very bright, too bright in fact. Parking was easy. Staff were helpful and super friendly. There was an event on in the evening which meant food took rather long to arrive but was o wasn’t charged for it was an unexpected bonus. Overall a nice enough stay.”

“Great stay however the rooms were not overly clean. It seems housecleaning need to rush to get rooms ready and do a basic wipe over, but it is not really to the standard expected of a 4star hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and grounds and common areas were very nice. Food a little disappointing (plates hot but breakfast not). With some attention to detail this property would be really good 😊”

“I hate to leave negative reviews on businesses but I have to call out this place. The rooms were nice and looked clean. We were only here for 3 to 4 hours before checking out at 430am. During my stay here I started to get an itch on my arm while I was sleeping on the bed. I didn’t pay too much attention to it since we were very limited in time but during my plane ride home my arms started to feel itchy from time to time.
