“the Barge is a pub with accomodation in a very good location, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Although the staff are welcoming and the room was clean, the overall appearance of the pub is that it is shabby and run down. The carpet on the staircase leading to the bedrooms was grubby and had a large hole in it. outside the garden furniture has seen better days and there is a canopy which has come adrift from its fixings and been lashed to the outside bar. “We had a brief stay at the Tollgate Inn. After arriving on a warm sunny day, it was great to sit outside with the locals and enjoy a refreshing drink. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both were very good. The staff were very attentive and friendly despite being very busy, this is a popular place. Clean room but a bit small.”

“La chambre était très confortable, le personnel a été vraiment serviable. Le petit déjeuner inclus et le restaurant étaient délicieux. La terrasse est absolument charmante! Le coin est calme et près d’un arrêt de bus qui facilite les déplacements vers Bath. Stationnement sur place. On a tout adoré et on recommande certainement!! 💯”
