Vacations Close To Boudin at the Wharf Museum

Good location and price

The Beacon Grand in Union Square is a deluxe and delightful place to stay in SF. The staff, food, cocktails, and Starlight Lounge are top notch. Clean rooms with good amenities. Valet parking is easiest option with daily cost similar to any major city. My wife and I will stay there again.

Shuttle from airport to hotel never arrived. Waited 40 mins for 2 different times of shuttles. None arrived. Had to take uber to hotel (expensive due to being weekend and rush hour). When asked staff about it, no explanation or reasoning given. Waiting in rain was frustrating. The added expense was frustrating.

From the outside looking in, I am surprised I stayed here. I was sketched out with the homeless people and graffiti on the windows, however, you must have a room key to use the elevator which felt like a safety net. Once we got to the room, it wasn’t as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. The bed was hard as rock to sleep on but everything else was just fine for our short stay. It was not luxurious but I didn’t expect it to be. I would say if any improvement can be made, it would be to get better mattresses or a pillow top.

Beautifully renovated and perfectly quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is undergoing some renovations but they did not impact our stay. Always make time to hit the steam rooms and hot tub. Staff is always so friendly and helpful, we stay there every summer.
