Everything was great. The house is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. It is at a very convenient location where you can walk to anything and everything. Please know there is not a refrigerator in the rooms, but they do have a common refrigerator. There is also no staff on site but they send you an email the day before that gives you all of the check-in information. It was very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely historic home - the architecture is preserved with contrasting but comfortable Ikea-style furniture. Great parking and walkable to wonderful restaurants and shops in downtown Birmingham. This is a self-serve accommodation with minimal staff interaction. Room 8 is the winner for unique charm. Our 2nd stay and we'll be back.

Pros: The building is gorgeous and the historical information was fun and interesting. Location was good as far as being close to where we needed to be. It was clean, had enough towels and blankets, lots of coffee, fridge space, and ice in the freezer. Cons: No breakfast, the street noise was extremely disruptive to sleep (room 3), the bed was hard as a pile of rocks (my back was in agony after the 2nd night), the air conditioning was not as effective as we'd have liked (again, that was in room 3, the hallway and main rooms were comfortable temps), and there is not enough parking!! There are only 8 spots and 10 rooms... Plus it's near the bar district so (at least on Friday and Saturday night) there were no spots on the street either! Two of the three nights we stayed we had to walk several blocks from where we finally found an open spot!!

Great location. Close to many restaurants and pubs. The house is a gorgeous piece of history. The room was disappointing though. No art on the walls, except a tiny frame by the closet door basically saying this is where the gas line came in for the original gas lights. The room was clean but the furniture honestly looked like it was purchased at a thrift store. I hope that they will eventually put some period correct pieces in or even nice contemporary ones. Anything but what they have. The price was very reasonable but unfortunately I won’t be staying there again. Sorry but wanted to give my honest accessment.

I loved the house! Very cute, very clean, and definitely well taken care of. Check in and check in were very easy. Right in the heart of Birmingham, so we were very close by to everywhere we wanted to go. My only gripe was the firmness of the mattress, but it wasn’t bad enough for us to not sleep. Just a little uncomfortable!
