“All staff made us very welcome Brilliant room and fantastic location. The only downside was we thought it was a dog free hotel. Maybe this was just in the bedrooms as we saw 3 large dogs at one table in the restaurant and another dog at the next table whilst we were waiting for food to be served. Our room was immaculate though and showed no signs of any pets having been in there. We were unable to use the shower as it just dripped out but as we were on a short stay we just used the bath...

“Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit.
