“A nice hotel, well appointed in the public areas. Staff are friendly and helpful especially Boti the chef. The room was small however there was a separate study/dressing room area. There is a somewhat terrifying lift to the upper floors. A good substantial breakfast was included. It is situated in the town centre very close to the railway station. ”

“The description of the Nuffield Health facility as a spa is somewhat misleading - it’s a sports club with a pool used for (noisy) swimming lessons, there is nothing relaxing about it as there are just 3 “beds” to sit on around the pool, and members make an issue of anyone having left a towel on there for just a few minutes (rudely removing it and taking the bed for their own use).”

“We were not advised that the kitchen was closed throughout our stay which was inconvenient. The property was not in good condition, particularly the bathroom. Nice location. Great staff. Quality has dropped since our last visit 12 months ago.”

“From the staff, to the gorgeous rooms, the bar and restaurant areas, it was nigh on perfect. The air con unit occasionally got a bit noisy, but it was still a fabulous stay. We were there for one night, so I do wonder whether a longer stay might have made that part a little more frustrating over time. Otherwise, we loved it!”
