“We had a room at the rear of the hotel which was nice and quiet. A fan was available in the room which helped during the heatwave. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No wardrobe but hooks on the wall and hangers for clothes which was ok as we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly on arrival and at breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.”

“Spa facilities poorly maintained wood splitting in sauna, no steam room very small pool and small dirty changing facilities. Inadequate gym facilities literally 1 treadmill Old dirty carpet and room smelled old. Tv was inadequate old 1st generation TV. Terrible WiFi signal Reception staff friendly but catering staff not. No food available after 9.30pm no amenities or facilities around to overcome this. Would not recommend staying unless just going to specifically play golf”

“Weather was great went to visit my grandchildren who live nearby pod was great could do with a good clean on outside and decking was abit wobbly would come again good price for what it was the bed really clean toilets and showers considering how many people on site”

“The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would stay at The Crown again without hesitation, however as I am disabled there are not enough parking spaces available for disabled guests staying at the hotel. The bays at the front of the hotel (3) were, at most times occupied by non blue badge holders.”

“Esta muy apartado del centro. Pero al lado de la estación de St Leonard Warrior. Una zona no muy buena. El hotel es más como una pensión. Aparentemente parece que está bien. Pero luego una vez allí se nota la falta de mantenimiento y personal. La habitación normal. El agua de la ducha sin presión. La cama bien. La tele no funcionaba bien. Tiene un patio muy mono. El desayuno normal. Lo mejor sin duda el recepcionista Francisco, como no, español. Muy caro para lo que es. No repetiría. ”

“A lovely hotel with many original features. The dinner and breakfast were lovely, there was a nice selection of both. The room was great and plenty of plugs to charge devices. I liked the lounge/bar area with a wide selection of books and games available for patrons. It's very well located for trips to Battle itself and Hastings. Would very happily stay here again.”

“The single room above a quiet pub has the best price you will find in the area, and an interesting history. Nice meals are available downstairs, very convenient. The Sunday lunch (I had the roast chicken with all the trimmings) was especially delicious. The friendly owners shared lots of information about the local area. “Lovely old inn with well appointed clean rooms. Had evening meal which was excellent. Breakfast was also well cooked and delicious. It had a lovely ambience.”

“Shower had a draining issue and in room fan was pretty noisy (hence we couldn't use it). Nonetheless, overall it was a decent stay.”

“Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war super! Durfte sogar im Apartment übernachten! Hat mir sehr, sehr gut gefallen und ich hab super dort geschlafen, nach einer Wanderung "South down way"! Herzlichen Dank noch mal an die lieben Vermieter! Schöne saubere Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!
