“This is a place that has been designed to make you feel at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated with colorful fabrics and interesting decorations. The pub is dog and human friendly and is a popular spot for locals. Jack, the Bernese Mountain dog is regularly present as he belongs to Kenny, one of the owners. “Friendly hosts. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable rooms. Ideal location within walking distance to local pubs/eateries.”

“We just stayed four nights at this hotel. We enjoyed the location of the property—not to far from Leyburn, Hawes, or Grassington. Good location for short and long walks or hikes. You can walk to the falls from the hotel, and there are footpaths if you want to walk to all three falls. That was fun. Just a quick drive to visit Bolton Castle—worth the visit. “Breakfast menu and food was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I’d stay again. ”

“Clean airy room .. Friendly staff . Lovely stay . Very happy thank you .”

“Very difficult access for parking”

“The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.”

“Lovely hotel in the heart of Kirkby Stephen. No breakfast, but could be arranged albeit for an extra fee, and a bit too late for walkers. Comfortable bed and bedding. TV and wifi worked well.”
