We stayed in this room great price no one around looked like every room was full and still pretty much had the place to ourselves by the lake took out the kayaks tons of fossils and other cool rocks right on shore kids loved it owners were great we would definitely stay again
They are cute little cottages on Long Lake north of Alpena. Very clean and friendly! Nothing fancy just simple way of life. You can bring your boat and dock it, fish and/or have a bonfire. 🔥
There were a few spot in the room that could of used some cleaning like the coffee cups and above the window with a bugs being collected in webs. However this is still one of the best little places Ive stayed at. Expedia shares that there are blow dryers in the bathroom but that is not the case and when I asked about the owner about it he apologized and let me know he would be having Expedia update that. The use of the games in the shed was nice, playing corn hole was fun and the kayaks were easy to use. No renting, just grab the paddles from the shed and grab a kayak. We will 100% be staying here again next time we are in the area.
We stayed in a cabin close to the road and we were a bit worried about the noise as both my husband and me are light sleepers. But we were surprised to have slept soundly that night.
The bed was comfortable, sheets and towels clean, but the water has a bit of smell being a deep well sourced.
They have a restaurant that served great food and ton of options. We loved our breakfast and wouldn't mind staying there again if we ever make a trip in the area.

Not very updated, or just not updated very well, and the room we stayed in had an awful smell. Almost smelled like mildew, or dirty laundry. We did have to leave the window open because of the smell. I also never received information for Check in, so I had to call at 10pm day of check in to get our door code. The girl on the phone seemed really nice though! For check out, not sure if we were supposed to do anything so we just cleaned up and left at 10am.
This stay is very basic, not terrible but not the best. I personally don’t think I would stay here again due to the pricing not being cheap and the room not matching the price! But this was for a wedding so we had to choose somewhere. I would say the best thing was the lake that is right by the site, it was super pretty!
Room was clean and had was I needed. Nothing fancy but great room for the price. Easy to see from the lake and well marked on US 23. Boat ramp was located fairly close by and the grounds were well maintained even before peak season. Stephen was helpful in pointing out the area and gave me some Long Lake fishing tips.
Picturesque place. Nice and quiet and was just what we needed for some rest and relaxation. The ice cream was amazing!! Will definitely be returning annually!
First time here. I will stay again. Very friendly owner helped get me settled in. Thanks, Eric! Not a fancy setting, but very clean and very comfortable. I wasn’t there when the restaurant was open so can’t review it. Good casual setting. Exactly what you want in a quiet cottage stay.
The cabins are adorable, and very clean. Staff is super friendly, and accommodating. Looking forward to booking time in the Summer, to enjoy the beach on the property and the Restaurant. I liked the privacy, and serenity taking my Mom break. Hoping to have my class reunion at The Parker, that would be a blast. Thank You The Parker! 😁

Liked: Cleanliness
The room was spacious and clean. There was a large fridge and there was AC, so important in this heat spell. The bathroom is small, the toilet was the smallest you could get in that space and the shower was stained. There was no breakfast. The restaurant is only open 4 days a week, and there is no restaurant open close by for breakfast or lunch. There were no staff on site.
The property is beautiful, owner and staff very friendly and helpful. The cabin was cute and perfect for hubby and I, only thing is not a lot of storage.
