Our AC window unit was quite loud (a mixed blessing/deterrent) but not very productive in cooling the room. “Loved the quietness. Very relaxing and close to the Ticonderoga ferry on Lake Champlain on the Vermont side. The owners are very nice. Serves a fabulous breakfast every morning. Has a bar on property as it is a pub and offers food only Thursday to Sunday for an extra cost for those staying at the Inn and some locals in the area. “We had a wonderful stay at the Old Lantern Inn in Charlotte VT. Our room was large with a king and a twin bed and views of Lake Champlain. The inn was very quiet and clean. We can’t say enough about the innkeeper Lisa; she went above and beyond to ensure that not only were our needs met, but our expectations exceeded. Continental breakfast is modest but tasty. “The place was cute and in a nice location. But the bed was terribly uncomfortable. Any movement from myself or my partner caused the whole bed to shake. Additionally I tried to contact the staff/whoever runs the place to ask for late checkout but was never able to reach anyone.”
