“Loved the quietness. Very relaxing and close to the Ticonderoga ferry on Lake Champlain on the Vermont side. The owners are very nice. Serves a fabulous breakfast every morning. Has a bar on property as it is a pub and offers food only Thursday to Sunday for an extra cost for those staying at the Inn and some locals in the area. The area is rural and lots of dairy farms in the area. There is an Exxon Mobil station less than a mile away that is quite large. You can also get food there. There is...

“We happened to be there during the week between weddings so had the place mostly to ourselves. Lovely farm setting with vegetable gardens and chickens and pigs to wander among. There was a lovely watercolor painting exhibit in barn. Extensive trail system right behind the fields. Manager Stacy was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order, delicious. Very peaceful setting.”

“The place was cute and in a nice location. But the bed was terribly uncomfortable. Any movement from myself or my partner caused the whole bed to shake. Additionally I tried to contact the staff/whoever runs the place to ask for late checkout but was never able to reach anyone.”

“The property was beautiful and immaculate. Our room was excellent. The only challenge we had was figuring out how to safely get into and out of the high tub to take a shower. The breakfasts that were served were generous and delicious. Having coffee outside my room 24/7 was handy. We enjoyed sitting out front on the deck reading. The only thing that would prevent me from coming back is that there doesn’t appear to be much to do in the area. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this inn.”

“Cant say enough amazing things about my stay at Mad River Lodge! The inn-keeper Dana was so kind and gave ideas for activities in the area and helped me get to my wedding when we had no ideas on how to get there. The whole experience was so personable, and I loved the shared space with a chess board, games, tea, and coffee!”
