“Good reception by the lady from Texas. Really nice reception area by the breakfast and restaurant. Lovely view of the Marine Lake from spacious room. Secure parking. Room warm with simple controls. Handy for town centre. I really like this place! A proper upmarket hotel 🏨 ”

“ The hotel needs a complete refurb. The room allocated to us was of poor quality and standard. There was no wardrobe hanging space for ladies dresses and no drawers for storing other clothes. The plug was missing from the bath and the taps were dripping in the bathroom sink. The positive was that the staff were attentive and helpful and the food (breakfast) was excellent. We would not stay here again.”

“First time staying at this hotel. We booked for an anniversary weekend for 3 nights. Staff are so friendly and courteous, from reception to the bar and the spa area. The foyer as you walk in is so beautiful, with the hanging lights and grandeur. It’s kept very clean and tidy every day. There’s a bar area up the steps from foyer where you’ll find comfy sofas and big chairs to lounge in, this was such a nice area to sit and have pre-drinks before heading to the restaurant for evening meal....

“The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was very quiet and we both had an excellent nights sleep on the very comfortable bed. The lounge bar was very nice and we had a lovely meal, we had a dog with us so could not eat in the main restaurant but the lounge bar was lovely and it was certainly no hardship eat there. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful and it made for a most enjoyable stay.”
