“Staff nice , hotel showing its age but I think that’s everywhere in Japan . Boot room was in the basement which was a bit of a pain . The room we had do have a nice view to the mountains . The restaurant was actually nice even if it looked like a brightly lit sports bar ”

“Did not stay the full 2-night stay, I left 8am after the first night. Woke up and noticed I was sleeping on a pillow that had mold spots. Blinds were broken and dilapidated. A layer of dust was on the bed stand. Onsen was covered in mildew and water dispenser was covered in mold also. About a kilometer up hill from the bus terminal. The outside of the building looks like it hasn’t been updated or worked on in a while. Would not stay here again.”

“We came for a short stay to recharge between our destinations. This property is older, but the rooms and the bath were clean. The room was very spacious and had extra blankets and stuff which was nice. Free snacks and alcohol was awesome!! The baths were also so relaxing. Sweet views and chill vibes. We loved getting a taste of the authentic Japanese stay experience. Not a lot of options for food since the town (?) was really small. Worth it for the quiet nature experience though.”

“Safe and clean. Very convenient.”

“Decent sized room for two people, property was nice and quiet while we were there. You can reserve the large bathtub they have in the basement if you want access to a private bathing experience and their were plenty of public onsen or bathhouses in the surrounding neighbourhoods. ”

“Upon arriving during the two-hour check-in window, I was puzzled as to if anyone worked here. I walked in the front, no one. Went around back, just a couple ski resort patrons. I was sure I was in the right building from the photos, but it looked more like an abandoned building with some squatters in the form of skiers. ”

“This place is so special. The room are remodeled beautifully and with respect to traditional style and everyone working here is kind and helpful. Highly recommend.”
