Stay at Georgian Hotel and Mews

Staff very welcoming and helpful. The Mews room was very comfortable and the facilities were first class. The complimentary bottles of water and the small bottle of Prosecco was a nice touch. We would be keen to use this Hotel should we return to York.

Lovely place to stay close to the city centre

Great place to stay. Very close to the city centre and station. Staff helpful and offered free luggage storage and even the loan of umbrellas if needed. Lovely and clean rooms. Building is old so some wear and tear to be expected but didnt impact on the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. Great cooked to order breakfast.

Great location and friendly staff. The cooked breakfast was generous, though continental options could have been better. Quiet room with a nice bathroom (but very slow drains!). Would stay again for the convenience of being so close to the Minster.

Good stay

Very pleasant rooms in a new block at the back of the building. The guy who runs it was very friendly and helpful, breakfast is worth the money if you need it in the morning, but the best thing is the location, a couple of minutes from the Minster, and having the ability to wander round the middle of York even when most people have gone home. The Taas Nepalese restaurant just over the road is really good.

A lovely hotel

Everything provided in the room and for breakfast was very good. I would only ask for a mattress topper and more comfortable pillows! All the staff were excellent and very helpful. A most enjoyable stay and would recommend as it's also a perfect location for walking into the city. My room was located in the newer annex but would have liked to see the older rooms with more character.

Good location

Nice place in the centre of york, perfect for my one night stay. Quick walk away from the train station and all main attractions. I had booked a single room but was given a double because the hotel was not fully booked. The room was clean and comfortable however in need of little tlc. Staff were friendly and breakfast is available for extra charge. I would stay again.

We planned trip with some friends. Everything went smoothly. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Our rooms were great. Spacious. Very clean. Nice touch like water and prosecco when we arrived. We only wished we had booked breakfast also as it looked very nice when we seen others.
