“Great place to stay, very clean, tasty food, great staff, already booked to return”

“We stayed at The Green Man after a half day canoeing on the Wye at Symonds Yat. Great location. Check in was really easy and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The room was great , bed was comfy and had an iron, tea/coffee making facilities with a good range of tea/hot chocolate. Parking is aplenty and we had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent - all four of us cleaned our plates and were really happy with what we ordered. We didn’t have breakfast but can imagine it...

“This hotel has a lovely outside seating area with easy access for some of the rooms. Breakfast is lovely with lots of choice. Our room no8 was perfect for both of us and our dog. Lovely bed, towels and shower etc”

Location-wise it is well situated for access to the surrounding towns, particularly Hereford, though one should note that it sits right on the main road and this does lead to quite some road noise until late at night and from early in the morning. “The hut was an amazing stay. Clean and cozy with the amazing addition of a hot tub. Roy was an amazing host and couldnt do enough for us. Would definitely be returning.”

“Best breakfast and dining room service I have had at a hotel! Fan was provided in the room and the mini fridge was a great bonus. Good shower and very comfortable room. Parking area is very small and tight for larger cars (I parked in Victoria carpark at a cost of £4 for 24 hours so not a huge problem - although be aware it is a pretty steep hill to get up to the hotel). My only negative is check out is 11am yet I had a knock on the door at 10.40am to ask if I was checking out soon?!”

“This was our second visit to the lodges and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spotless, good shower and plenty of sockets. The breakfast to go is a bonus and filling. There’s a lovely courtyard which we used to sit out and have supper. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of a hectic life this is the place to come and unwind. The host was friendly and gave us suggestions of places to visit. Will definitely go back again.”
