“A lovely room in a very cosy, friendly pub. There was some road noise due to the location, but this dies down after dark. The facilities and food were excellent.”

“Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. “Great place to stay. Spacious bedroom with a good bed and quality bedding. Radio and TV in the room plus tea and coffee making facilities plus welcome shortbread on arrival. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. It is situated on a busy road but don’t let that put you off - see if you can get one of the quieter rooms at the back. Worth a visit and situated in a great area/countryside.”

“Great location for walking or just sitting in the garden or around the log fire. Staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. Dinner and breakfast was cooked to perfection, we will be retuning for a 5th visit.”

“The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.”
