Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. We found their restaurant had a great variety of high quality small plates and main dishes in a comfortable upscale pub/dining setting.

Excellent choice for a weekend away

Came for a fly fishing trip and loved every minute. The food at the pub is excellent and the rooms are very nice. Gorgeous garden and very well located for fishing, walks into Stockbridge, and generally enjoying the countryside. Staff was very helpful as well and arranged a pre-made lunch for us to take for our day on the water.

This was a 1-night stay for work. Good greeting on arrival, lovely room (which was room called Lloyd Stacey), comfortable bed, small desk to work at, nice ensuite. The problems in the room were the main light did not work, but that could not be fixed during my stay and the remote control for the TV could only select channels by going up and down and changing the volume - this also was not sorted during my stay. I ate at the premises in the evening having the Haddock and Chips which was okay.
