“This hotel was in a good central location, spotless, smart and functional. The door code provided worked well. I had an accessible room due to mobility issues which had an excellent shower room. the grab and go breakfast had a good variety of food. Unfortunately this area only had a bar stool arrangement so I physically couldn't sit as the table and seats were too high for anyone with a disability. no staff were available for any help. only a phone for emergency.”

“The car GPS wasn't very good but I managed to use the directions on my phone. The rooms are across the road from the actual hotel. The food was really tasty especially the Full English breakfast which was inclusive. The Accessible room was very comfortable& the wet room was great, just what I needed. Definitely recommend this place.”

“The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. Plenty of pillows with the option of firm and soft, duvet is a little small for the bed and the one on the sofa bed was also too small if 2 sharing, so you may need to request extra ones. Aircon is fab for the summer kept the room lovely and cool. Sofa bed is a tight squeeze for 2 children but bed has plenty room for 2 adults. “Lovely family run property with character. Large car park across the road £6.50 for 24 hrs (hotel has small carpark at back). Ideal walking distance for Racecourse and town centre.”

“It was the worst hotel I have stayed in at least the last 15 years. No hot water in the morning, the bed was ancient, and no one in reception to talk to in the morning to share these complaints. The wifi barely had signal either. ”
