“The room we stayed in was clean, and from the window you could see the beach. A 5 minute walk to the beach, good range of food for breakfast continental, and cooked. You book a meal in the evening if you want to, just give them notice because it does get busy in the evening, there is also a bar there if you want one.”

“We spent 2 night here while sight seeing around Cornwall. We found it quite central to the places we visited. The warm and welcoming staff made our stay comfortable and relaxing. After a day of sightseeing and going back to a good meal completed our day. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I loved the garden. We highly recommend the wheelhouse for your next stay in Cornwall.”

“Beautiful and cozy place with everything what you need to have an amazing stay in Newquay. My room has a breathtaking view to the sea, I was amused! Delicious and healthy homemade breakfast and the owner is a lovely person who’s always there to help you. I definetely recommend you to go there! ”

“The Townhouse is in a great location, in a nice quiet part of town but only 5 minutes walk into town. Nice pub a couple of minutes away too. The owners were very nice and very helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and very comfortable. Great choices availble for breakfast. Will definitely stay when in Truro again”

“Absolutely loved staying here, from start to finish. I have severe anxiety and prefer booking hotels that are part of a chain, as I have a better idea of what to expect. So for me, booking here was a big risk in my eyes. So glad I did. Staff were welcoming, big smiles, polite, took the time to explain everything about how the pool worked, breakfast and checkout times and made me feel totally at ease. “Advertised there was a pool as the first amenity- the indoor pool finally opened halfway through the stay but took another few days to heat up and all feels very unfinished. The outdoor pool isn’t coming until 2027!! They were still laying turf with builders all over and no loungers available for entirety of my stay. Hotel is far from finished yet Great views from the fourth floor room with terrace (but lift isn’t installed yet, so lots of stairs to climb!). Staff lovely”
