“Its was a nice place to stay apart from the staff asking if we could smell weed! I think it may have been my tattoos that made them single us out however we had been out for the evening so we felt a bit like we were not welcome and if it wasn't so late I would have moved hotels.”

“Good selection of food on the menus at reasonable prices. Our meal in the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast has good selection also. The patio doors and windows around hotel and restaurant could do with a clean, other than that it was clean and the rooms were comfortable.”

“A well converted 16th Century Inn offering very good rooms (though slightly lumpy beds), good ales and food and very friendly staff. We will return!”

“Check in was very slow as it looked they were short staffed as people were waiting to order drinks as well and only one staff present. The building and rooms are very tired looking and need updating. Walls between rooms are paper thin and we were next to a couple who argued all night long and you could hear everything. One of the rooms we booked (upstairs) was baking hot, the fan didn't work so we lent ours to our friend and the radiator was on full blast in this summer heatwave! We couldn't...

“Lovely house in middle of countryside. So was very peaceful & 3 walks near by. Would recommend and stay again. Lovely breakfast with all anyone could need. Far nicer then staying in city hotels.”

“The room was very clean, and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was extremely clean. The hotel is located very close to both town centre and train station. Staff very helpful. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.”
