“Overall, the property was clean and tidy, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was decent. However, one of the rooms had no working shower and despite reporting it first thing in the morning, it still wasn’t repaired when my dad returned. They did offer to move him to another room, but it was late and he just wanted to get to bed. Also, the beds were really uncomfortable and the pillows were so thin, I had to use all 4 of them. “First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....
