Staff were friendly apart from lady who cancelled our food order on Sat night (group of 6), saying they were closing the kitchen - it was 6:30 and the pub was packed! We had already ordered as had other tables - had to go and get a refund, very poor. Room (5), was tired and floor very creaky. Breakfast was under whelming-bacon fatty, pan au chocolate was burnt as was toast. Cleaner was lovely and gave us extra time on Sunday morning. Pub is tired and I booked as advertised as a Marston’s pub, but they told it is isn’t any more but they haven’t updated their advertising. Location is excellent, just a shame it wasn’t the best experience.

Big pub on the promenade. Room was large and clean with all the basic amenities. Cheap and cheerful place for a short stay.
