“Lovely stay . Rooms ample size , reception staff and bar staff very friendly and helpful, evening entertainment was great . Very close to the beach and pier and shops .Only downside was the noise from traffic if your room is on the front of hotel as no double glazing as its an old building, otherwise perfect. ”

“Just had a great stay at this charming & welcoming hotel. 1st time in the area. Called ahead the day before to arrange an early check in as I was attending a funeral at the scheduled check in time. Parking was on site - and check in was easy & quick. Room was spacious, clean and lovely en-suite. Tea/coffee & biscuits provided, plus bottled water & snacks. TV & WiFi easy to access. “Really nice stay for a “rest and recharge” getaway. The shepherds hut was exactly as the pictures - clean and tidy when we arrived. The owners had a folder with all the useful information we would need during our stay (how to use the hot tub, location for waste and recycling bins, nearby public footpaths etc). A nice secluded area from the rest of the property to allow for privacy. I would definitely recommend and consider again for a couple’s holiday. ”

“It was a very nice stay with an excellent couple. Warm welcomed. A very nice big dog was also present to welcome. I had to say hello to the dog as he was so friendly. Very cooperative host. Family environment. Residence is upstairs like three rooms and bathroom outside the rooms. Mostly quiet. Nice and clean and a proper communication with the host throughout my stay. I was invited warmly to have breakfast but had no time. Will miss this stay.”

“Room was small to be an ensuite double room, but it was clean and had basics and toiletries, tv and free wifi. Free parking at the front door. The owner, Darren, was quite nice and helpful. He cooked a nice breakfast every morning, personalized a bit for my continental taste, and listened patiently to my daily adventures. I was on holiday and did tourism across Somerset from there. Good value for the price”

“No enclosed garden for dogs , cars driving past daily to the lodge further on . Gravelled drive - noisy Cob webs every where . Rude owner and unhelpful . Property not dog or child friendly Local pub - very nice but you have to drive , there is no foot path also uphill . No local amenities No welcome hamper Poor information folder - The only information provided is the local Indian Will not be returning or recommending ”
