“A very tired, once charming hotel. In my “deluxe suite” the Roman blind was broken and the room generally had clearly not been decorated for some time. Breakfast was appealing. The choice was exceptionally limited and of poor quality. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast on the disk rat morning. I was served some greasy egg on untoasted, sliced wholemeal bread topped with a fistful of unevenly chopped chives. “Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing.”

“We had a lovely stay. We arrived late and the night porter greeted us promptly and we were in our room in no time at all. The room was lovely and clean and bright. In the morning we went over for breakfast which was also great, the food was good quality and we loved the garden and setting of the property. Overall, a lovely stay, would definitely go back.”

“Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...
