Vacations Close To Wellington Vineyards

This hotel offers spacious, clean, no luxury rooms. However, the free parking and having a clean microwave and refrigerator and shower water pressure were awesome. It is in the Tenderloin area which was across the street from a rehab hotel/apartment. We didn’t feel comfortable going out walking at night due to the neighborhood. There was a security guard on duty which helped our sense of safety. The WiFi connection was horrible, not advisable if you’re expecting to have a stable connection.

Complimentary breakfast was my favorite amenity. Second was how cozy the room provided was.

Historic charm, but needs to be redone

The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom had a big bathtub that was nice to soak in after a lengthy travel. The breakfast options were plentiful and varied. There were places to eat nearby. A room safe was in working order. Coffeemaker, tea, coffees, cups were in the room. There was also a refrigerator gor storing leftovers. The fridge worked well too.

Clean room and helpful staff. Good location in North Beach walking distance to Traders Joe and to muni buses. Yet the most important things failed for me: the mattress is sinking down and my back can feel all the coils so I have to put a pillow under my upper back and another pillow under my lower back to be able to not feel the mattress coils. Also, the room is extremely noisy, noise from hotel restaurant, from rooms close by and rooms upstairs. Luckily I got earplugs from the hotel staff. I understand hotel staff cannot do much for noise without lots of renovation but the mattress replacement is an easy replacement for customers to return. I do not recommend this hotel due to the noise and mattress quality.

No included breakfast. Expedia did not disclose "amenities/destination" fee which would have influenced my booking decision. Parking expensive and not on site.

Staff are excellent, attentive, helpful, kind, caring. Bed was the best I have ever experienced in a hotel and I travel 2 times a month. Wonderful location near busses, near Union Square, and near very reasonable restaurants. Breakfast is very good.
