Vacations Close To Silverado Resort - North and South Courses

Front desk lady sucks

The location is beautiful the hotel not so. Because we booked with Expedia we were given a room on the bottom floor across from the ice machine and guest laundry and in a high traffic area, everyone goes by your door to get to their rooms. Then the hotel rented space to a loud band and we heard and felt the base noise until 4am. Obviously no hotel security to shut them down. We left at 6am to go to the Alameda flea market after 2 hours of sleep. Never again! Great location close to the flea market and we will not be back!

This place is fine for cheap and sleeping. The restaurant has been closed for years. The carpet is old and stained. My Tv in the room looked like someone punched it. Everything looked dirty. The staff is excellent I don't blame them. The property could use a makeover or new ownership but then the price will get higher. You get what you paid for.

We enjoyed our short stay here and was aware it was an historic older hotel. They truly have made the most of this building, esthetically and comfortably. We chose to stay here due to the location and short walk to the Greek theater. (Super easy!) There was plenty of parking and be aware that there are actually two parking lots behind the hotel (not just one small one.) We booked a King room so I'm sure it was larger than some. It had plenty of space and an in room sofa too. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We loved the eclectic college theme in the hotel. The restaurant was nice, good food, and appreciated the $25. credit that comes with the booking. Only wish they had been open for lunch. The one suggestion we have is to add a vending machine. There were some snack items and energy drinks near the front desk, but no sodas. However they did provide a couple water bottles in the room fridge which was appreciated. Lastly, I wish to compliment the friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again when in Berkeley!

The pictures of the hotel and rooms looked better than they appeared. The rooms were really small and the bathroom had issues.

I thought breakfast was a little expensive.

Room was clean ! Small refrigerator in room was super helpful.
