Visited DC to attend a very large conference that resulted in many of the nearby hotels being extremely expensive. The location is excellent but the property is otherwise old, dingy, and unkept. In hindsight, should have spent the money to stay elsewhere. Would not recommend except for travellers who are on a very tight budget.

Very basic hotel in a fantastic location. I appreciated the tile floors in the room, as they were very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was acceptable. There are no amenities here. The TV has poor reception with the antenna and no internet for streaming. Basic, good value, I will stay here again.

This hotel worked for my needs. First of all it’s old and in need of updating but it was clean. I was in room 205 and we could hear the outside bar next door. It’s in a great location and the price was excellent. If you need fancy this place is not for you.

For the price you pay for a hotel in DC close to everything, the District Hotel will do. It old and needs renovation but it does the job of a hotel. If my friends weren’t so picky on little things I will surely recommend this hotel. If you are just looking for a place to crash like I do and is not picky then this is it. The location of this hotel is walking distance everywhere important in DC.

The staff was amazing. Helpful and courteous. The rooms itself and amenities were outdated. Small rooms. In a good area and safe. Comfortable bed. Overall if you’re just booking to sleep at night, worth it. If you like to unwind and relax at the room, look elsewhere.

It is an old building. Our room 301 is extremely small and the bed lies under an air conditioner that blows down on you which was not ideal. The room was very clean and the bathroom was updated. It is a great location and the staff was very friendly.

This is a great hotel in a fun DC neighborhood for people on a budget. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, and I had a recently updated bathroom. The room could have used a full length mirror. For the price, you can't get much better!
