“We have stayed several times at The Nunsmere and the welcome is always warm and welcoming. The rooms are all very comfortable and well appointed and breakfast is of a really high standard. We plan to stay there every time we travel North as it makes a great overnight stop,”

“What a gem! Met up there for an overnight stay with friends. Great location and ideally situated for walking. Our rooms were in the main building. They were spacious and well-equipped with tea/coffee making, proper milk and snacks. The beds were also very comfy and the en suite had a great shower. We ate there for lunch and dinner- good menu and excellent, tasty options, with great selection of gins and wine. However what really made our stay, and will guarantee a return visit, was the warm...

“Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu”

“Quite dated in decor and furnishings, but all in keeping with the look and feel of an older country residence. Every interaction was a helpful, friendly one. Would return if I have reason to stay in the area again”
