“Lovely hotel and grounds. Nice room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. But food prices were eye-watering. Two thick but thinly filled ham sandwiches and 2 pots of tea on arrival cost £37!”

“Having an attached 24hr cafe, was great if you couldn't get back from days out until late. Staff were zuper friendly, and did their jobs well. Food was very good value, fresh and well presented.”

“The property is in a lovely setting and as the sun was shining we enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the patio looking over the gardens and tipi. The restaurant, public areas and the bedrooms were all pristine and food of a great standard, when in the area we would definitely stay again.”

“We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. It was nice to sit in the sun in the morning in the little garden with a coffee and listen to the birds. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub. The food was ok but the service could have been better. We booked in advance and were seated straight away but we found nobody came over to ask if we wanted drinks and we ended up having to stand in the queue at the bar....
