Excellent location for visiting different area's around Northumberland. All the rooms look to wards the coast, so the noise from the main road is hardly noticeable when in your room, and lovely cooked breakfast to start you day.

In a perfect location for our exploration of Northumberland.The room we had was excellent. Although situated on the busy A1 the room was very quiet as it was at the back of the building.We couldn’t hear any traffic noise at all. The staff were absolutely fantastic.Really friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and it was also good to be able to pick up sandwiches and snacks from the attached coffee shop for days when we were out exploring. We will definitely stay here again.

The property was handily placed adjacent to a petrol station and right next to the A1 BUT at no time was there any fuel smell or any noise from both it and the busy main road! All the staff were friendly, helpful & professional. The room, facilities, corridors & common spaces were very clean and tidy! Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and dinner well priced! The bar area was clean and tidy and well stocked with all manner of drinks! Checking in & out were extremely well managed and far superior to similar establishments in the area!

Firstly Purdy Lodge is right on the side of the A1 but surprisingly you can not hear any road noise. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms were well decorated, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was beautifully prepared and well presented and reasonably priced. The location is central to all the attractions in Northumberland. It is dog friendly,I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone 100%
