Vacations Close To Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park

The hotel was clean and located in a convenient area of the city. We drove and needed valet but when we arrived the valet was gone for the night. I was messaging with the hotel before I arrived and no one specified that they leave at a certain time. We had to find our own parking and ended up going to the lot our hotel is associated and the attendant said they couldn’t accommodate our size vehicle anyway so the valet would be no help. I specifically asked the hotel and no one gave any details. The front desk was nice during check in and gave me a few pointers of where to park but also told me our car would fit in their garage which was not the case. We ended up driving around for an hour looking for a garage who would take our vehicle which happened to be another hotel. When you spend upwards of $1000 a weekend to stay somewhere you expect them to provide all the information prior to your stay.

The only reason this is not a Five Star review is the mattress. This was one of the worst hotel mattresses I’ve ever experienced. That said, the rest of the hotel was great! The check-in and welcome were excellent, the room was clean, modern and spare. As hotel breakfasts are quickly disappearing, this was very good and the service was great. You order from a menu, so no standing around waiting for others to butter their toast.
