“Very helpful, friendly staff. Good food. Interesting, old building but well modernised. Hamper style breakfast was difficult to eat in our room as there were no tables or chairs.”

“On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

“We had a pleasant stay. The grounds was beautiful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We stayed in the west wing section with a view to the garden. The rooms are not large in size with a double bed. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. “Lovely little pub, accommodation was clean and cosy. Gorgeous views and fab location to explore the area. Go to druids temple, not too far away. Went for a relaxing weekend and loved it. Special mention to Mo who worked her socks off!”
