A beautiful island turned into a National park in 1997. Coiba's underwater topography is linked by the underwater Coco Ridge mountain chain to the Galápagos Islands. Scientists from the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute have proclaimed it an unparalleled destination for discovering new species. Rachel Collin, a Smithsonian project coordinator said: "It's hard to imagine, while snorkeling around a tropical island that's so close to the United States, that half the animals you see are unknown to science.”[1]

Salto de Piedras
you can reach this cute waterfall in approx. 3 hours from Santa Fé. Ask in the village for the beginning and then just follow the road till you see a small house with a green wall. There is also a sign that says "Alto de Piedras". Don't go there but take the next path just a few steps further down where there is a sign which says "cuida la fauna" (or something similar).
You can also take a cab to reach this point.
From there it's only a couple of minutes till you reach the waterfall.
