This is a great beach for surfers. you definitely have to do a tour to Isla Coiba! You can go snorkeling (or diving) there and see all kinds of animals (sharks, turtles, manta rays, a lot of fish and corals,...). We also saw dolphins and between July and October there are humpback whales in this area. We did the tour with "Watching Dolphins" and were extremely happy with our choice.

Verified traveler

Santa Catalina is a snorkelers and surfers’ paradise. It is also a cosy and laidback town with good restaurants and nice atmosphere. However, one large drawback is there is trash everywhere and that plastic waste just flows out into the ocean.
