“Great location, with good amenities. Older property. Not equipped to handle the heat that Britain is experiencing at the moment. Rooms were SO hot.”

“Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available. All staff were very friendly and helpful. This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!”

“Absolutely love Tyr Craig Castle. Lovely friendly helpful staff, beautiful rooms with very comfy bed. Really enjoyed our evening meal with the most fabulous views over the sea. Food was superb and service spot on. Our breakfast was also great quality. We visited last year also and will definitely return, lovely relaxing stay - THANK YOU X”

“We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges. I’m baffled at the positive reviews, it’s very basic and not good value - we chose to drive 2.5 hours home rather than...

“The check-in process was smooth, the host was very welcoming - the features of the room and service were explained in full. The room looked and smelt beautifully clean. All the amenities we could have wanted were provided. Great shower, complementary toiletries and a super comfy bed with top quality linen! Check out was hassle free. The rooms are above a pub and the courtyard below can get quite lively but it didn't disturb us too much. The only thing I would like to see is a private courtyard...

“The previous reviews are outdated. I had a great stay at Harleys. It was very quiet, clean, and the room was big. Self check in was very straightforward and the staff were really helpful. They checked in with me to make sure everything was good, which it was. Very good location, close to shops and train/bus station. I would happily stay again.”

“Muy linda vista frente al mar. La habitación muy básica. Nos hospedamos una noche con un niño. Muy simple. Super chica la ducha. Cuando nos íbamos no teníamos donde dejar la llave. Justo llegó una persona que abría el bar y pudimos dejar la llave. La caja donde había que dejar la llave no estaba. Llegamos tarde y nos dejaron en un sobre la llave para poder ingresar a la pieza. Eso estuvo muy bien.”
