“The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well. “I had booked a 4 night stay for some r&r choosing to stay in the manor house. My 1st day there was a wedding being held at the Manor House, some facilities not available or restricted. I had not been informed of this event, my day of r&r sadly not forthcoming. An outdoor pool was not available, in the middle of a heatwave, apparently our of season in July. The rooms I was able to enter in the manor house are tired and need a refresh, my room had black mould in the bathroom, a ceiling extractor...
