“Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding. Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts. Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners. Beautfiul location. “The staff were all pleasant and helpful but thin on the ground and overstreched. To have to wait 15 to check in on a Friday evening because there is only one receptionist is a very poor first impression. The general ambience was of a rather tired and inadequately serviced hotel which was not good for the price. Rooms were fine and the breakfasts were exceptionally good”

“Staff & breakfast excellent. Room was very clean but it was very hot and the drains smelt at times. This severely impacted my sleep. My rating is purely based on that, suspect if i went when it was cooler it would be different. One easy thing to help would be for the windows to be opened fully.”

“Very basic rooms it was stifling but could open the window a bit and they did provide a fan breakfast was not great the cooked was microwaved , it was like the room basic ok for a one night stopover also very noisy throughout the night with traffic”
