“Our 9-night stay in Scotland was incredibly relaxing and comfortable. We were so impressed by the thoughtful touches at Aulton Stables, including fresh fruit, milk, bread, eggs and chocolates on arrival. The bathroom was also well stocked with toiletries, including body wash, shampoo, conditioner and cotton pads. “We stayed in one of the offsite casa style rooms which was perfect for our family (we were parents travelling with two teenagers). Room was clean and had all we needed for our two night stay. We appreciated the afternoon scones and tea in the main hotel. We were surprised that our rooms didn’t have any housekeeping between our first and second nights so I’m not sure if that was part of the casa room service or not but our request for addition towels was taken care of quickly!”

“The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Karolyn and Chris provided everything we could need. They gave us great advice on special places of interest. We enjoyed 2 evenings sitting by a roaring fire in the visitors lounge, and 2 mornings of excellent food with a wide choice. The house is historic and oozes charm and comfort.”

“Hotel was clean and easy to navigate to. I didn’t realize that this was mostly self check in which created some frustration on my part at the end of a long travel day. Our shower didn’t drain well but the next morning the front desk person was very helpful and put in a maintenance request.”

“I was completely shocked when we arrived and saw the state of this hotel. Run down, dirty, just unacceptable. There was supposed to be a dining room when I booked the rooms, but this closed between booking and arrival with no notice. I felt that the security of this place left much to be desired. Had to get the receptionist to show me how to lock the door ("old school: you have to pull the door towards you as you insert key into lock...!") As well, no screens on windows and windows left open to...
