“I had a room on the top floor. It was bright, spacious, clean and it had a great view. I was grateful for the AC in my unit because it was so hot in Margate when I was there. The continental breakfast delicious, lots of choice, the coffee was great and it was included. LOVED IT. Great location right beside the Turner Museum and a short walk to Cliftonville.”

“Easy to find, clear instructions regarding keys, etc.. Not a huge amount of things nearby, apart from the nice beach. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, but in the summer the easier access to the beach must be a plus.”

The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place.”

“Locatie is top, eigenaresse uiterst vriendelijk en de Sunrise kamer doet haar naam eer, werkelijk heerlijk. Punt van aandacht: badkamer en overall onderhoud kan beter, dit is low hanging fruit en veel zaken zoals kitnaden, voegen etc is easy te perfectioneren. Prijs kwaliteit kan daarom iets beter maar zoals gezegd, low hanging fruit en op een ochtend opgelost. Go for it en dan tot de volgende keer!”

“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“For me the staff and the welcome made this such a lovely stay. I was a little confused when I arrived as had to go upstairs to the bar to check in but the warm welcome by the owner and the staff made me really feel at home. I was a little worrIED about there being a lot of stairs and the very kind and friendly owner gave me a room on the first floor so I didn’t have to climb too many. My kettle wasn’t working and there was no tv remote and when I told them the kettle wasn’t working replaced...

“Brilliant stay in a fantastic cottage. Very kind and communicative owners, who were very generous in their welcome gesture towards me. The cottage is immaculately clean and has everything you could wish for for a short and longer stay. The cottage is very spacious and also peaceful and quiet so you can enjoy a truly relaxing time away. Great location to explore the coastline or Kent in land. “The shared shower was cramped, dark, and you easily bang your head. Not only that you get a bang on the door by management stating checkouts 10am even though I was there 2 nights. Everytime you left the room you're interrogated by management wanting to know your every move. If you want a peaceful stay this isn't it. Needless to say I didn't stay the 2nd night found somewhere else.”
