Vacations Close To Tobin Center for the Performing Arts

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Contessa in San Antonio! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and comfortable. The location right on the River Walk was one of our favorite things—it was so nice being able to walk outside and immediately enjoy the restaurants, shops, and beautiful scenery.

We love the location of the Menger hotel and the rich history. This trip was disappointing as we discovered that they don’t really have breakfast anymore. They used to serve breakfast in the Colonial dining room and it was beautiful. Now they have a little taco shop that they use for “breakfast “. Also, I had to work some in the trip and was under the impression that the room I chose had a desk, which it didn’t. I asked for help from the front desk staff and they promised to have a chair brought to the room and they never did. I had to use the couch in the room and a side table to work. When we moved the coffee table to the side there was a bunch of trash and crumbs under it. The bathroom shower curtain smelled like mildew, wet rag. I love this hotel, but it seems to have really gone downhill since my last stay a while back.

Everything was amazing will most definitely be returning

Pet and people friendly, ample parking and super cool food and coffee trucks daily by the pickleball courts.
