“The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. The staff were delightful, each and every one of them. And the food…omg, the food! So good! We wish we booked more than one night!”

“This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. “A wonderful welcome in the middle of the Peak District. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Would recommend and book again.”

“Beautiful classic Georgian country Pub. Big comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The bed was also big and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the pub so cannot comment on that, but the village has several nice places to eat.”
