“We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.”

“Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have
been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !”

“The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.”

During my stay there was also no mention by staff of there being a function being on the first floor (the rooms back onto the function room on this...

“Hotel perfecto para nuestra ruta ya que esta muy cerca de la autopista y la habitaciones son comodas y grandes. Por lo que pudimos pasar una tarde relajada despues de una mañana de coche.
Las instalaciones recreativas para familias, parque infantil, recreativos para los mas mayores, hacen la eatancia divertida. ”

“Good location in Dartmoor after a day of walking. Our room was well equipped.
Pub nearby served nice food and drinks. Right next to hotel you can take the Nun’s Cross walk, which is about 2 h. Saw many ponies, cows and sheeps on the way as well as beautiful landscapes.”
