Vacations Close To The Vera Project at Seattle Center

The place appears to be held together with tape. Literally the carpet seams are taped with duck tape. A bunch of other makeshift temporary "fixes" throughout. Our room had a patch of mold in the corner of the shower ceiling. So simple to clean that up, but they didn't. The TV didn't work. The front desk staff tried to make the tv work without luck. The pull out bed was missing a large portion of it's springs holding the support in place, so when you put the mattress on the bed, about 1/3 of the mattress just fell through to the floor. The kids ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor. They did move us for the 2nd night into a more updated wing that didn't have any of those problems. The breakfast pretty much shouldn't be listed as an amenity. There was cereal and some pre-packaged pastries. There wasn't even fruit much less a waffle maker or anything warm to eat. Definitely one of the worst hotel breakfasts I've had and I travel 1 or 2 times per month.

Great location. Staff very accommodating

Great hotel centrally located. We were only there for one night but it was a good home base for exploring the city. Only downside was that the walls were thin, and even on the 7th floor there was a fair amount of street noise, so we had to keep the ac running to block out the noise, and the ac unit was loud and clunky.

My bathroom smelled like mold and sweat (I think it was the shower curtain), two of the elevators were down and the exterior staircase is ghastly (covered in bird poop and cigarette butts), and my shower wouldn’t get above tepid.

We recently stayed at the Edgewater for the second time. This is an amazing hotel. Beautiful lobby and nice, cozy rooms. We love the over water balconies - you can watch the traffic in and out of the harbor - including a little seal that would swim past our room in the morning and again in the evening. The bar / restaurant is nice and staff is very friendly. Very convenient location - it's quiet but walking distance from many of the major attractions (space needle, the waterfront, etc), lots of restaurants nearby. This is my favorite hotel in Seattle and we'll definitely stay here again.
