If a traveler is one who can appreciate wonderful history of a given area within any town, who marvels at the architecture of the early 1900's, who respects the work to refurbish and maintain a nearly 100 year old home, is charmed by the landscape and relishes calm, civility and old luxury........this is the place to stay. Sans a few quirks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt transported back to the roaring '20's. The only think they we would have liked to have enjoyed, was a breakfast vs a continental menu. We met one of the owners and he was gracious with his time and key historical notes regarding the house and previous owners.

Front desk staff was “bad”!

I had a wonderful stay at this Marriott in North Carolina. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help with anything I needed, which made the experience even better. I also really enjoyed the amenities—they were well maintained and added to the overall quality of my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to staying here again in the future!
