Vacations Close To Teche Regional Medical Center

We went during summer during peak humidity and although the AC worked, our room did feel very damp. The amenities are a bit older so working the shower was also a bit of a struggle. The place is as pictured, except the rooms are a lot smaller and not noise proof. Overall, it’s a cute and convenient place but definitely not handicap friendly as there are no elevators. Only stairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

The rooms could have been cleaner there was some interesting stains on the walls and the shower drain was a bit crusty, toilet seat was falling off. overall though for the price we had a good stay and all the staff was very nice. we also had an issue because we were not informed the parking lot had limited space, we ended up having to walk 3 blocks with all our luggage and they didnt have luggage carriers that went out to the street at all for us to unload our car quickly. that was the biggest issue we had. Although they informed us that the next day when people checked out we would be able to park our car in their lot, which helped greatly when leaving.

Awesome stay, lication, assistance

I appreciated the history behind this hotel. However it s a bit outdated. My room we had a roach in our room the first night, two lights were out throughout the duration of our stay, the filter in the bathroom was caked with dust, we had a random mini fridge placed by itself in the corner of the room, and the bathroom toilet handle we had to jiggle it and flush twice to get it to work. Staff was friendly and very helpful but will not be back

The most unique property I have ever stayed at! This was a quick weekend trip with my husband and oldest daughter before she had to be back at school. (College sophomore) I loved the uniqueness so much! It matched that New Orleans charm I was after but more secluded. I would definitely stay here again! I would not recommend this property with anyone that was physically disabled due to the spiral staircase.
