“Un lugar lleno de magia”

“Expedia booked me at the wrong Tarbert. I asked for the Tarbert on Isle of Harris. Apparently, this happens a lot. The hotel I did stay at in the Tarbert I was hoping for said it’s a common mistake. They’ve tried informing booking companies, to no avail. Though I contacted the Anchor about the booking mistake, I was charged full price for a room I was 250 miles from.”

“Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi”

“The rooms seemed okay until we moved back the duvet and found stains and dog hairs the duvet itself was very badly stained we went and told the guy on the desk who didn’t care he took the duvet away to change it but came back with an even worse one”

“What fantastic hosts, who were welcoming and friendly and just fantastic to our group who arrived sopping wet from a day’s cycling and provided a last minute feast when we were let down by our evening dinner booking. The rooms and facilities were perfect.”

“Pet friendly is an understatement. The staff were so accommodating and went way above to make us and our dog Blue so welcome from his welcome pack to the fuss made over him it made our visit truly special. Massive thanks to Lucie, Taylor and Ray for looking after us and the old dog. Breakfast was brilliant and the I would highly recommend the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. Probably the spiciest and best I've tasted.”
