Vacations Close To Sullivans Pond Park

It was the second time I stayed in this hotel. Unfortunately, this time they put me and my family in the worst possible room. Number 134, right in front of the Laundry ( which gave us no privacy, since the laundry door is always open, and the laundry carts are always in that corridor. The room was not so clean as I would expect, dog pee visible on the floor. And the worst part was the exit door on the back of the hotel. When someone enters or exit the hotel premises, the door hits in a way that is impossible to sleep, the wall even shakes, and this happened all night long. My little dog was scared and had the worst night as well. I would assume that a room like that could never be selected as a pet room, since we pay a fee for cleaning and to have a suitable space. I don’t intend to sleep over there again! Breakfast was great, very friendly and great food!

This was a very nice apartment hotel, close to downtown and with a cute cafe located right downstairs. I will warn for those needing overnight parking, check the street signs as not all streets allow overnight parking on certain nights. When parking get filled in front of and on the side streets, it can be difficult to find a spot. Would recommend to travel light as there is no elevator. The room was spacious and nice with lots of sunlight coming in. Would recommend for sure

Me and my fiance (then girlfriend) stayed here about 10 years ago and it was great. We decided to try it again and boy was it a mistake. I’ll say what was good, the bed! Very comfortable and the pillows were solid. Now to the bad…. By the window you could tell water got it a month or so ago and there was water damage on the wall leading to the baseboard, which was a brownish colour. A quick wipe down with a clearer would help and a few strokes of a paint brush would do it wonders. There was no bar soap or hand soap in the bathroom, luckily we brought own. And the worst part…. The mini fridge had left over spaghetti in a Tupperware container!! The TV in the room is a flat screen but has to be one of the old school original models. It definitely isn’t a smart TV that offers apps. There is cable in the room but might have 30 of the 200+ channels on the guide. The breakfast was very mid as well and the coffee had a cleaner taste to it. Also the toilet might have had work done to it recently as I didn’t feel like it was fully in place. In closing! If the ownership has changed since the last time I was here, they REALLY let it go downhill bad! If you’re stuck, it works for a night, but if you plan on staying for a few days go elsewhere and spend the extra money!

Great place

Always have a great time here!! Eveything is very clean and the staff are always helpful. We have been 5 times already when we want to get away for the weekend. Very peaceful and its close to everything you want to see/ do in Halifax-Dartmouth. Doesn't matter the season its always a beautiful spot to stay!! Will be back again....
